Vladimir Petkovic has been announced as the new coach of the Algeria national football team, taking over from Djamel Belmadi. Petkovic will lead the Fennecs in the upcoming challenges, including the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2026 World Cup. The Algerian Football Federation has also revealed the new coaching staff that will accompany Petkovic in this journey. The team will consist of Davide Morandi as the assistant coach, Nabil Neghiz as the assistant coach, Paolo Rongoni as the fitness coach, Merouane Messai as the goalkeeping coach, and Nacereddine Berama as the goalkeeping coach.
