Transfermarkt has recently updated its ranking of the world’s most valuable players, and only 3 Africans have made it into the Top 100. Leading the pack is Nigerian player Victor Osimhen, securing the 9th spot with a valuation of 110 million euros. Representing the continent alongside him are Moroccan Achraf Hakimi and Egyptian Mohamed Salah, ranked 57th and 61st respectively, with estimated values of 65 million euros. However, the top spots in the ranking are currently occupied by Jude Bellingham, Erling Haaland, and Kylian Mbappe, all valued at 180 million euros.
Expanding the list to the Top 150, two more African players have joined the aforementioned trio. In 143rd place is Nigerian Victor Boniface from Leverkusen, valued at 40 million euros. Also representing Africa is Burkinabe player Edmond Tapsoba, ranked 147th and also valued at 40 million euros, playing for the same club.
