Quadri Aruna’s journey came to an end in the quarter-finals of the WTT Finals in Doha. After defeating the world number 5 in the round of 16, the Nigerian fell to the Chinese player and current world number 1, Fan Zhendong, on Thursday, January 4. Despite putting up a strong fight, Aruna lost in straight sets (11-6, 11-9, 11-4). The top-ranked African player remains proud of his performance in Doha.
