The Nigerian Football Federation is currently looking for a new coach after José Peseiro’s departure, leaving the Super Eagles without a captain at the helm. However, despite the challenges, the team is gearing up for their upcoming friendly matches against Ghana and Mali on March 22nd and 26th respectively. The squad has been announced, but there are several notable absences.
William Troost-Ekong, the captain and star player of the recent Africa Cup of Nations, will be missing due to a bruise injury. Ola Aina will also be unavailable for several weeks due to an injury. In addition, Samuel Chukwueze, Zaidu Sanusi, Terem Moffi, Ahmed Musa, Paul Onuachu, Joe Aribo, and Victor Boniface will not be joining the team.
