Mbagnick Ndiaye’s dream of winning an Olympic medal in judo came to an end in the round of 16. Competing on Friday in the +100kg category, the Senegalese athlete won his first match against Bubacar Mané from Guinea-Bissau before facing a tough opponent. In the round of 16, he went up against Guram Tushishvili from Georgia and unfortunately lost the fight by ippon, resulting in his elimination from the competition.
