Marcela Sakobi, a talented Congolese boxer, had high hopes for the Olympic Games in Paris. Unfortunately, her journey was cut short. Competing in the women’s boxing tournament in the 57kg category on Tuesday, Sakobi lost her match. She faced tough opposition against Uzbekistan’s Sitora Turdibekova in the 16th round and ultimately suffered a defeat. The judges, in a close decision, awarded the victory to Turdibekova with a score of 3-2.
