Likina Amebaw emerges victorious in the final stage of the Cross Country Tour Gold, held on Sunday, February 25th in Albufeira, Spain. The Ethiopian athlete triumphs, completing the 9.13km race in an impressive time of 30 minutes and 45 seconds. She outpaces Burundian runner Francine Niyomukunzi (31 minutes and 17 seconds) and another Ethiopian competitor, Asmarech Anley (31 minutes and 19 seconds).
In the men’s category, Spanish-born Burundian athlete Thierry Ndikumwenayo takes the lead with a remarkable time of 27 minutes and 18 seconds. Oscar Chelimo from Uganda (27 minutes and 19 seconds) and Burundian athlete Rodrigue Kwizera (27 minutes and 19 seconds) follow closely in second and third place respectively.
