Despite setting a personal best time at the Paris 2024 Olympics in the Men’s 50m Freestyle, Togolese swimmer Jordano Daou was not able to secure a spot in the semifinals.
With a time of 26.56, Daou finished 3rd in his heat behind Madkamov Fakhriddin from Tajikistan (26.23) and Diallo Elhadj N’gnane from Guinea (26.45). Unfortunately, despite his 3rd place finish, Daou’s overall ranking was not enough to qualify for the semifinals. Out of the 81 athletes competing in the Men’s 50m Freestyle, Daou is currently ranked 58th with a time of 26.56, 5.24 seconds behind the leader.
