The Ghana national team, known as the Black Stars, suffered another disappointment at the CAN 2023 tournament, failing to advance past the group stage for the second consecutive time. Following this underwhelming performance, the head coach has been relieved of his duties, and the Ghana Football Association is already on the lookout for a replacement.
An official committee has been established by the GFA to lead the search for a new coach. Chaired by Mark Addo, the Vice President of the GFA, the committee consists of respected figures from the football community, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Additionally, retired members of the Ghanaian football community will also contribute their expertise.
The committee has been given a deadline of three weeks to identify and recommend the next coach of the Black Stars to the GFA’s Executive Council for approval. This thorough selection process aims to ensure that the chosen candidate possesses the necessary skills and experience to lead the national team to future success.
