Ghanaian forward Ibrahim Osman, 19, has completed a multi-million pound move to Premier League club Brighton, as confirmed by the club on Saturday, February 10th. Brighton paid a transfer fee of £16 million (over €18 million) to secure Osman’s services. However, Osman will continue to play for FC Nordsjaelland in Denmark until the end of the 2023/24 season, joining Brighton on July 1st.

Upon the announcement of the transfer, Osman expressed his excitement and pride at the opportunity to play in the Premier League. However, he remains focused on his current performance for FC Nordsjaelland until the summer. « I am incredibly happy and proud to have this opportunity to come to the Premier League. I am eagerly looking forward to it, but I am currently 100% focused on my performance for FC Nordsjaelland until then, » he stated on FC Nordsjaelland’s official website.

Osman also highlighted the importance of the upcoming spring season for his personal development and the team’s success. « We have an important and exciting spring ahead of us, and I will give everything to win as many matches as possible. I want to use every game to fight for the team and at the same time build my own development to be ready for my chapter in England. Therefore, the spring here at FC Nordsjaelland is not just important for us as a team, but also a significant opportunity for me personally, » he added.
