Gabe Vincent’s time at the Los Angeles Lakers has been nothing short of a nightmare so far. The Nigerian point guard, who arrived in California after an impressive playoff run with the Miami Heat, has seen limited action, playing only 5 out of 30 games. His time on the court has been hampered by a lingering knee injury.
On Thursday, during his much-anticipated return from weeks on the sidelines, Vincent experienced discomfort. He was able to play for just 14 minutes before the pain became too much to bear. It has now been announced that he will undergo surgery, which will keep him out of action for the next two months.
