Ferdinand Omanyala showcased his incredible speed at the Miramas meeting in France, setting a new national record for Kenya in the 60m sprint. In his first indoor race of the season, the Kenyan athlete dominated the competition, crossing the finish line with an impressive time of 6.52 seconds.
Finishing in second place was Cameroonian sprinter Emmanuel Eseme, who also set a new national record with a time of 6.61 seconds. Arthur Cissé from Côte d’Ivoire completed the podium with a time of 6.62 seconds. It was an all-African podium, highlighting the continent’s dominance in the event.
