Dreams FC showcased an outstanding performance on the pitch at Stade Malien on Sunday, March 31st. Led by experienced striker John Antwi, the Ghanaian team came back from behind to defeat the Malian side (2-1) in the first leg of the CAF Cup quarterfinals. Yoro Diaby had initially given the hosts the advantage in the 53rd minute, but the visitors quickly equalized. Antwi scored in the 66th minute to level the score. Moments later, Antwi extended Dreams FC’s lead from a penalty kick (74th minute). Completely disoriented, the Malian team cracked under pressure and finished the match with 10 players. Fadi Sidiki Coulibaly received a yellow card late in the game (90+1st minute). Dreams FC has successfully set themselves up for the second leg in Kumasi next week.
