David Rudisha, the double Olympic champion and world record holder for the 800m, has been announced as the ambassador for the upcoming Indoor Athletics Championships in Glasgow. The event is scheduled to take place from March 1st to 3rd. Rudisha is no stranger to Glasgow, as he competed in the 2014 Commonwealth Games where he won a silver medal.
In an interview with World Athletics, Rudisha expressed his excitement about returning to Glasgow for this major competition. He said, ‘I can’t wait to be back in Glasgow. The sport has played a crucial role in shaping who I am today, and anything related to sports brings me great joy. I’m looking forward to meeting the fans and promoting the sport.’
