Amadou Haïdara has signed a contract extension with Leipzig, keeping him at the German club until 2026. The 26-year-old Malian midfielder has shown tremendous progress in the past two years and still has room for further development, according to sporting director Rouven Schröder.
Haïdara joined Leipzig in 2019 from Salzburg and has since played 175 matches and scored 14 goals. He expressed his gratitude towards the club, describing it as his second family. Haïdara praised coach Marco Rose for his support and utilization of his strengths, and he looks forward to the upcoming challenges with the team.
